Terms Used

With the Malaysian language (Bahasa Malaysia) increasingly adopting numerous English words into its vocabulary, it is deemed necessary and helpful to introduce appropriate terms that will convey the truth contained in hymns succinctly and accommodate the fewer syllables of English language hymns.

The list will be added to as the work progresses.

God - Tuhan

Lord - Lord (suggested introduction into the Malaysian language)

Lord Jesus Christ - Lord Jesus Christ/ Lord Jesus Kristus

Lamb of God - (Anak) Domba Tuhan

children of God - anak-anak Tuhan

Son of Man - Anak Manusia

Man of Sorrows - Manusia Sengsara

faith - iman

Word of God - Firman Tuhan
